JoBail (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws.
Information we collect
- Account: name, username, email (via Firebase Authentication).
- Profile: the experience, education, projects and skills you add.
- Generated content: tailored CVs, cover letters, ATS scores.
- Billing: subscription status and a Stripe customer ID. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles payments.
- Usage: counts of generations and saved jobs.
Why we use it
To provide the service: authenticate you, generate tailored applications, track your job search, and process subscriptions. We use your information only for these purposes and do not sell it.
Service providers
We share the minimum necessary with processors that run the service: Google Firebase (auth + database), Stripe (payments), DeepSeek (AI generation), and Adzuna / Remotive (job search). Each processes data under its own terms.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent. You can edit your profile in-app or contact us to delete your account and data.
Security & retention
Data is stored with per-user access controls and transmitted over HTTPS. We keep your information while your account is active and delete it on request, subject to legal retention obligations.
